C. chopped pecans

C. softened butter
3/4
C. milk
3/4
C. packed brown sugar
1 1/2
tsp. vanilla extract
3/4
C. dark corn syrup
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Take a pie plate and grease it and then sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly in pie plate.
  2. Using a blender, beat remaining ingredients until smooth, 15 seconds on high or 1 minute with hand beaters. Pour into plate.
  3. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean. 50 - 55 minutes. Cool 5 minutes. Serve with Cool Whip or ice cream.
  4. NOTE: I tried micro-cooking it in a larger 10-inch pie plate for 15 minutes on medium. (Use the larger pie plate as it tends to spill over in a 9-inch plate.) You may have to play with the time to suit your own microwave oven.
