These wonderful holiday cranberry scones are great for family gatherings, cookie exchanges, or homemade holiday gifts.

cup dried cranberries

tablespoons brown sugar

teaspoons baking powder

teaspoon salt

cup cold butter

tsp orange zest

ounces sour cream

egg, beaten

cup powdered sugar

teaspoon orange juice
1/4
teaspoon almond extract
  1. Cut butter into dry ingredients.
  2. Add rest of ingredients except powered sugar, orange juice and almond extract, and mix as little as possible.
  3. Drop on to greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Mix powdered sugar, orange juice and almond extract. Ice scones with mixture before fully cool. Store in airtight container.
