Expert Tips

Cacciatore, a popular Italian dish also referred to as hunter's-style, usually contains thickened tomato gravy with mushrooms, tomatoes and other vegetables. Chicken Cacciatore is the most popular example, but pork makes a delicious change.

Hunter's gravy mix is a packaged gravy mix flavored with mushrooms and wine, but an envelope of any pork or beef gravy mix can be used instead.
