Very easy. Very quick. Very yummy! However, it is not a thick sauce. No matter how long I boiled it, it did not become even a little bit thick. It is the consistency of melted butter. I'm thinking this is best served from a gravy bowl or creamer pitcher (as pictured). Also, the recipe says it makes 2 cups. I made 2 batches and both came out to 1 1/2 half cups. Good to know if you're pouring it into decorative jars for gift giving - wouldn't want to give a half filled jar! The recipe doesn't specify what kind of rum, so I guess it may taste different depending on what kind you use. I used Capt. Morgan's Spiced Rum and it turned out very tasty! It separates when stored, so re-heating is important. Re-heating guidelines would be helpful. I put mine in the microwave for 2 minutes on 40% power, stirring after 1 minute. In the end, this is delicious and I'll be making more for gift-giving and for me & my hubby! No kids allowed :)
