Homemade Salisbury Steaks

Hearty beef patties, smothered in gravy. Best served with mashed potatoes and peas & carrots.

pkg Onion soup mix (2 pks for bold flavor)

pkgs Brown gravy mix
1/2
carton sliced mushrooms (fresh prefferably)
1 1/2
lb Ground hamburger meat (Ground Turkey may be substituted)

tablespoon butter or margarine

cups water (according to 2 gravy pkg directions)
  1. Combine hamburger, onion soup mix and one pkg brown gravy until well mixed. Form into hamburger patties. Cook until about half-way done. (preferably in a George Foreman machine)
  2. While patties are cooking, heat skillet over medium high heat. Add butter, then mushrooms, saute' to your liking. Mix gravy according to pkg directions. Add to mushrooms. Add 1/2 cooked patties, and cook to your temp. Serve on top of mashed potatoes for best results!
