Easily transform crescent rolls into a festive first course for 16. Wrap red and green veggies inside and decorate with fresh rosemary "greenery." It's a beautiful edible centerpiece!

hi, instead of savory can this be made as sweet? If yes, then what filling can we do to represent Christmas.

This is a perfectly fragrant and beautiful wreath! I use mayonaisse instead of cream cheese. It is easier to spread and add a little needed creamy moisture to this recipe. It is great to crush some rosemary with the mortar and pestle to add to the filling. Crushing the leaves brings out the fragrance and flavor. Almost any veggie can be used for this as long as you omit fresh tomatoes which will make the wreath soggy (or use sun dried tomatoes). I drain and pat dry my veggies after cooking to remove some of the moisture then chop and add seasonings such as the rosemary, smoke salt, and white pepper. You can always use your favorite.

My friends daughter is a Pampered Chef Dealer and she got a recipe for something similar to this that calls for chicken breast, artichokes and smoked cheese, it was really good so I'll try this one.

Awesome recipe! I opted not to use the sesame seeds, and used parsley in the middle for garnish as well as a bowl of stuffed queen olives in the center. For an idea of how to lay out the crescent dough, see this link: http://tsrecipes.com/?p=523 I brought it to an office potluck and everyone loved it! It was gone within 10 minutes. I think another good idea would be to use hummus as the spread! And maybe put some edamame in, or snap peas for the green. :)

In order for the thickest part of the dough to bake, I had to cover the whole thing with tin foil because it was getting too brown. Unfortunately, the bottom got too well done. If I make it again, I will lower the temperature and bake it on the top rack of the oven instead of in the middle.

This is one of the easiest, most greatly appreciated, and festive appetizers I have made. It is fail-safe great option for any hostess to use for many occasions.

Where is the diagram, mentioned in the recipe, that shows how to lay out the dough pieces? I'm having trouble visualizing it... Thanks!
