LOCATION

Directions

  • 1 Heat oven to 400ºF. Heat butter and lemon juice in square pan, 8x8x2 inches, in oven until butter is melted. Place salmon in pan; turn to coat both sides with lemon mixture. Sprinkle with onion salt, thyme and pepper.
  • 2 Bake uncovered 25 to 35 minutes or until salmon flakes easily with fork. Sprinkle with paprika; serve with lemon wedges and parsley.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Halibut steaks can be used for the salmon steaks.

Wrap each lemon wedge in a double-thickness square of cheesecloth and tie with a ribbon. When you squeeze, you get the juice, not the seeds!

No thyme in your cupboard? Dried basil or marjoram leaves can also be used.

Very easy to make and it turns out exquisite!! Makes you look like a professional chef! I used salmon fillets though, didn't want to bother with the bones.

I made this for my husband, he really enjoyed it, only problem he had was the inordinate amount of bones in a steak cut salmon, next time will do the same recipe with a fillet cut, since they normally have no bones.
