Wonderful recipe. I didn''t have time to prepare all of the vegtables, which was a heartbreak but didn''t matter in the end. I have used this recipe with apple cider or with some diluted red wine and put the roast in the oven, either way this is a "keeper recipe".

pot roast is great for the rainy days , to come home and smell the roast cooking. it warms up the whole house and makes dinner easy to enjoy easy to prepare and get it on the table quick

When cooking the roast, the smell was awesome. I added crushed garlic, instead of fresh. It tasted wonderful!! I will definitely cook this again.
