Herb Hummus

Blogger Sarah W. Caron from Sarah's Cucina Bella shares a recipe for hummus. With just a few ingredients and 10 minutes prep, you can make homemade hummus and add your own signature touches.

can (19 oz) garbanzo beans, drained
cup finely chopped fresh herbs (such as thyme, parsley and/or basil)
tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted
cup extra-virgin olive oil
tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 In food processor, combine all ingredients; process until smooth. Serve with fresh veggies, crackers or whatever you like.

Expert Tips

Mix up the herbs you use. Try mostly basil with a touch of oregano or try parsley and mint together.

For more lemony flavor, add the zest of 1 lemon to the recipe.
