Nothing warms you like hearty chicken pot pie. This one’s loaded with vegetables and has a tender, flaky crust made with Bisquick® mix.

Very Good. Just add a salad and you have a meal. I also seasoned the chicken before cooking as well.

I am making this tonight for dinner. I took everyone's advice & added spices to the mixture, along with also seasoning the chicken before I cooked it. Chicken is a bland meat & when mixed with cream of chicken soup, it doesn't do it any justice, so this dish absolutely needs seasoning! I used McCormick's Original Chicken Seasoning on the chicken and thyme, garlic powder, fresh ground pepper and some salt to the vegetables & soup before ading the chicken. Also, my family LOVES onions so I cut up about half a medium white onion to the mixed vegetables & I think it will come out fantastic! Also, this is one of the easiest meals I have ever made!

question, am i suppose to make the chicken soup as directed before mixing it with the chicken and veg? or just pour it over top as is? im always confused on this matter. i usually just make my own chicken pie from scratch with gravy. but trying to do this recipe this time. :)

I tried this recipe for the first time today and the whole family enjoyed it! I made a few modifications. I used all of the meat from the chicken, which ended up being 2 cups of cut up chicken. I also doubled the amount of Bisquick mix and milk to 2 cups and 1 cup respectively. I would have preferred if the crust was more pie crust-like instead of so fluffy. Therefore, the next time I make this recipe, I am going to use a pre-made pie crust from Pillsbury.

I added some spices(pepper, sage, oregano) to the crust mix to give it more flavor. It was good over all, though the inside was a little too thick for me. Will add some water to the soup next time to thin it out a bit.

Try it with a thawed pie crust, top and bottom, instead of the Bisquick crust. My boys' favorite.

Up there with one on the top 10 most awful meals I've fed to my family! The bisquick top was the worst part. Never again!

This recipe is awesome! Me and my husband loved it! I threw in some Italian dry herbs and basil, used 12 oz of veggies instead of what it called for, used cheddar cheese soup and gluten free bisquick. The fact that this recipe is so easy is a major plus! I was a little worried at first. I wasn't able to "pour" on the batter, rather more like "scoop" it onto the top. Wasn't sure if it was because the bisquick was gluten free. Turned out great anyhow, will be making this again! :)
