Ground beef is added to homemade baked beans for a hearty, slow-cooked dish.

Ingredients

lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef

slices bacon, chopped
1/2
cup chopped onion (1 medium)

can (28 oz) baked beans
1
can (15.5 oz) kidney beans, drained
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/2
cup ketchup
1
tablespoon vinegar
1
teaspoon yellow mustard

Directions

  • 1 In 10-inch skillet, cook ground beef, bacon and onion until beef is browned; drain.
  • 2 In slow cooker, mix beef mixture and all remaining ingredients.
  • 3 Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 hours.
