One of the things that helps me stay on track is that I try and have a small side salad with almost every meal. Even if I'm microwaving a frozen entree for lunch, having that extra dose of greens make me feel fuller and ensures I get in all my servings of veggies per day. And if you use those salad sprays as your dressing, it's less than 50 calories for a whole side salad!

I eat veggies and whole grains (brown rice or whole grain pasta as the main dish and chicken or fish or beans (or little red meat, sometimes) as a side dish. This really helps to lower the fat content in a meal.
