This was a hit at my table. So I didn't exactly make this the "healthy way." I added black beans. Also exchanged the salsa for petite cut diced tomatos with jalapenos which gave it a little extra flavor and zip and didn't have the problem of it being bland. I also added some mexican blend cheese. I WILL be making this again!

I added black beans and what was in the fridge, left over diced tomatoes. Loved it as did my three kids!

I made this for dinner and my family of five loved it! I served it with steamed veggies for a well balanced meal. I did leave out the salsa, but the tomato sauce was enough to give the dish flavor and the pasta came out perfect at 12 minutes. I did put salsa on the table for the ones that wanted some extra kick. I also added taco seasoning after browning the meat, as advised by some other reviewers. Quick and easy!

I didn't necessarily make this the healthy way, but it worked just as well with prego chunky garden vegetable tomato sauce, the addition of diced tomatoes and only half a jar of kroger salsa. I did follow the advice of other reviewers and added taco seasoning to taste and it really helped with the flavor. I also did not add water at all and I think it helped preserve the flavorings.

I made this for dinner tonight using the ground turkey method. It was delicious and my fussy 8 year old daughter liked it too!

Because some of the reviews said this dish was a little bland, I added a tablespoon of taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water to the cooked meat and let it thicken before adding the other ingredients. I also used ground turkey and because I was out of tomato sauce, I used tomato juice. I also used canned corn instead of frozen and medium salsa. This dish was fantastic! I don't know how it would have tasted if I made it exactly according to directions but my way, with a dollop of sour cream mixed in, was yummy!

I actually had the opposite problem than many of the reviews I read here - the noodles were cooked and the dish was done but there was too much water left over. I had to let it boil on high for a little bit to evaporate some of the leftover water out. Next time I will use more pasta or simmer on a higher temp. Also, I did find it slightly bland even though I used hot salsa. Overall it is good and I will have it again, but maybe add some chopped tomatoes or peppers. It just needs that extra "zing."

This is still not a healthy meal. Weight Watchers points are 9 You have to cut the fat down before it can be healthy. This is good but not healthy.

My family loves this dish! We have 4 and 6 yr old daughters and it's hard to find something everyone will love. They ask for it all the time. Great for leftovers too. Easy to make and I always keep the ingredients on hand if I need a quite meal.

I made this tonight and it was wonderful. I only had a half an hour to make dinner and this was a breeze. I did not need to precook the past, the 1 1/2 water was plenty for me and was done in 12 minutes. Make sure you keep the lid on so the liquid doesn't evaporate out.
