We did not care for this banana bread. It was not bad, but it did not taste good. It was kind of a chore to eat it.

Our 6th grade home and careers class made this recipe and we did not care for it. Our suggestion would be to add some white flour in place of some of the whole wheat flour.

Just made muffins using this recipe and they were yummy. It made 12 muffins and took about 18 minutes at 350. I am so excited to be able to eat a healthy sweet treat!

I'm 21 yrs. old and I just used this recipie in place of my usual one because I had lost my own cook book and I will never go back to that recipe again. I have tried to use healtier ways to cook since my husband was diagnosed with diabetes and this recipes is great. Even some of our friends who are not interested in eating healthy thought it was the best banana bread they'd ever had. I followed the recipie exactly the first time and it was delightful, but the second time i doubled the batch and added a few walnuts and a full bag of Great Value (Walmart brand) dried mixed fruit(dried grapes, cranberries, and sour cherries) and everyone is still raving about it 3 weeks later. I love the recipie!!

I'm always looking for healthy options when cooking and baking. I like the use of egg whites and milk instead of butter. :) I also made it with less sugar, would have used splenda but was out...

I substituted 3/4 cup Splenda instead of sugar and also substituted 3/4 cup FLAX in place of the canola oil. Less calories per slice plus HALF the carbs and DOUBLE the fiber and protein. My teenager gave me props even AFTER I admitted I used sugar substitute. =) PS. Left the nuts out and mixed in 1/2 cup chocolate chips!

Thank goodness for reviews or I never would have tried this banana bread. I followed the directions except omitted the cinnamon, reduced the sugar slightly and added 3/4cup of raisins. We love it so much that I have thrown out my regular recipe.

I baked from this banana bread recipe over the weekend. Much to my surprise, we loved it. This is the first recipe that I have tried that requires all of the flour to be whole wheat. And, to have the walnuts toasted. Just try it-you will not be disappointed at all! I made mini loaves and mini muffins. Cuts the baking time in half. Took some of each to work today and they did not even know they were eating healthy! I will always use this recipe from now on to make banana bread!

Moist with only a hint of wheat flavor, delicious. I used vegetable oil since I did not have anola oil on hand. I added toated chopped walnuts to the batter but then decided to also add golden raisins (I'm adventurous). It was delicious, and you really couldn't taste the raisins. I think they just added moisture. I also added some nuts on top. I prayed a bundt pan with oil, sprinkled nuts in the bottom, then poured the batter over the nuts. Yummy and nutritious!
