I really wanted to try this recipe, but feeds 12???? There are so many of your delicious looking recipes that are too large for just my husband and I. Even if I count on leftovers. I have tried cutting recipes down to size but 95% of the time that doesn't work too well.

Great recipe! I substituted French's fried onion topping instead of the bread crumbs and it was SO delicious. My husband said this was his favorite breakfast dish I've made so far. And it would be easy to add chopped ham too!

The notes under this recipe read, "a do-ahead hearty egg bake." I"m hoping that's the case. I"m going to prepare a day ahead, please in fridge, and then in over the next morning. Has anyone else tried this with this recipe? Thanks.

I amde this with the sausage I had on hand and it turned out great. I think it would be better if you just skipped the crumb topping and added some cheese on top.

used home made hash browns instead of packaged and the dish was a huge success. It is a little too much for two people but I will see if it freezes.

My family loves this. I use o'brien hash brown potatoes instead of the regular shredded ones. O'briens have green pepper and onion in them already. I still add onion as the recipe says. Delicious!

To serve 12 people 1/2 lb. bacon is just not enough. Add 3/4 to l-lb. Also, add some fresh herbs, like basil or oregano. I increased the pepper to 1/2 tsp. and used the green onions as another writer also suggested. Use evaporated milk instead of regular milk.
