I recently made this for my quilt retreat, along with 8 other kinds of quick breads. When I asked what was their favorite, this one won out. It was delicious. I had no problems with the size of slices. I used my electric knife.

I made this bread as directed. The bake time was spot-on for me. It tastes absolutely wonderful, but keep an eye on the serving size if that matters to you. I suggest making it as muffins if you want to truly get the serving size of 16. I was only able to slice my loaf into 8 good-size slices; if I'd cut them thinner, they would have fallen apart. I plan to make this recipe again as muffins as I am concerned with calories.

This was my first time making any kind of bread and the flavor was the bet I've ever had. I had to bake it for 2 hours to get the bottom to cook through, toothpick came out clean after 50 minutes but the batter was still moist. I liked the combination of a crispy crust and the sweet, soft inside.

Very tasty. I subbed half whole wheat flour and subbed half the oil with applesauce. I like the texture and the flavor. Got great reviews around my house!

I made this bread today and it turned out amazing! I made it with whole wheat flower and just added an extra tablespoon of oil for moisture. The top gets nice and crispy when you bake it and it was just lovely to eat warm with butter.
