Brought eggs to a rolling boil and let them boil for about 20 seconds, put the lid on and turned off the burner. Set the timer for 18 minutes, poured off the water and filled the pan with cold water and some ice cubes. Absolutely perfect eggs.

Followed this to the letter and just dumped out a dozen eggs that were a goopy mess. Can you specify "boil", is it a hard boil, rolling boil???????? Gonna try again but do longer on the boiling.

I always tend to overcook or undercook my hardboiled eggs and these came out absolutely PERFECT!The yolks were nice and firm and didn't have the green ring around them. The shells did not crack while boiling and they peeled beautifully!

I'm teaching my niece and her friend to boil eggs. How should you boil the eggs? An important detail you left out.
