Ham and Smoked Gouda Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta (6 ounces)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • 2 medium stalks celery, sliced ( 3/4 cup)
  • 1 cup cubed smoked Gouda cheese (5 ounces)

    Cook and drain pasta as directed on package. Rinse with cold water; drain.

    Mix mayonnaise, honey and mustard in small bowl. Place pasta, ham, celery and cheese in large bowl. Add mayonnaise mixture; toss to coat.

  • Smoked Cheddar can be used instead of smoked Gouda, or if you prefer a cheese without the smoke flavor, substitute regular Gouda, Cheddar or Swiss.
  • Turkey ham or reduced-fat ham delivers great taste with less fat. Go ahead and use reduced-fat mayonnaise instead of the regular.
  • Smoked Gouda has a creamy yellow color slightly tinged with tan and light brown hues. The texture is smooth and creamy with a smoky yet mild flavor.
