Bursting with creamy melted cheese and ham, these big hearty muffins make a great stand-alone breakfast, or serve them with soup or salad for lunch.

These are really good, Light, and fluffy. However, I thought they were a little on the dry side. I would still make them again. Changes I made: I used whole milk (I usually use fat free), I mixed all wet ingredients first then added dry mixed it all up and let it sit while I graded cheese and cut the meat. I added extra cheese and we didn't have any ham so I used lil' smokies and bacon.

My family and I tried these a while back. They were dry, fell apart too easily, and didnt have flavor. Won't be doing these again. Maybe we'll try them a different way.

These muffins are flavorful and delicious. Here's what I do: use buttermilk instead of regular milk, use SHARP cheddar cheese, and use green onions or minced onion, about 3 to 4 tablespoons. I also saute' the diced ham with the onions. I stir together the muffin batter while the ham is sauteing, that way the batter begins rising and the muffins are lighter. I also probably put in more than 1 cup of cheese, more like a cup and a half.

These muffins are really good and easy to make. I suggest increasing the baking time to 22 to 24 min. I substituted buttermilk for the regular milk and I added 1 tsp. of garlic powder. One of these with some fresh fruit would make a good quick breakfast.

I had high hopes for these muffins and was not too pleased when they turned out dry and tasteless

I really loves these. I love the Ham and Cheese Sandwich Bake, the other day I was looking for the recipe and I wanted to make them into muffins since I was short on time and I saw these, I added in some mustard like the the Ham and Cheese Sandwich Bake, as well as more ham and cheese since there is ever enough cheese for me. I love making them early in the week and then having one before work in the morning.

I usually really like fairly plain muffins but these were too plain even for me. I made them for my daughter and her friend who were home from college and these just had no flavor or personality. They would need a lot more ham and something more for flavor. I doubt I'll make them again. (But do try the slow cooker bbq pork...now that is delish.)

After reading the reviews I changed the recipe blending the wet ingredients first, mixing in 1 cup chopped ham and 6oz sargento chipotle cheddar cheese before lightly mixing in the bisquick. The results were fantastic! Very light and fluffy muffins. Great for freezing and eating on the run.
