I added M&M's, used the honey chex and used Ghiradelli Classic White Chips (followed melting directions on back of bag) and I can't wait to try it when it sets. I never thought I would say this but it is VERY sweet which can help in portion control, I guess ;). Very simple recipe and great to make with my young daughter. Happy Halloween!

Hi. I have made these numerous times for non-halloween and have added Peanut Butter Chips or Butterscotch Chips, Chocolate Chips and mini marshmallows in place of the candy corn and sprinkles...yummy! GSMomma: you used BAKING chocolate and not just regular white chocolate candy bars, right? I don't know why yours isn't working. Sorry.

To NoraRuth: My daughter has a severe peanut allergy also. I make this for her every year. There isn't any peanut butter in this recipe. I follow the recipe as it is (minus the raisins), just using brands that are safe for her. For recipes that call for peanut butter, we just use Sunbutter instead. Hope that helps :)

I have a family member (she's 4 and won't understand why she's not allowed to have any but everyone else can) that can't eat peanuts :( Does anyone know of a way to make this or something similar without the peanut butter?

This is easy and great for the kids. I added a small package (about 1cup) of M&M's to the mix. It increased the calories, but it gives it a little more kick. Also, I spinkled some halloween orange (what I had) on top while the chocolate was hardening. Very tasty and fun to share with the kiddos.

I made this for work, it was very easy. I think I would add more chex and pretzels next time. Everyone loved it.

I thought it was awfully sweet, almost to much chocolate if you can believe that.
