Hold the nuts! Some kids have serious nut allergies, so check with parents before sharing this gumdrop goodie.

Squeeze those gumdrops in the store. Look for soft and moist candies for best bread results.

We have made this bread for years at Christmas time. My mother would cut the gumdrops (not spice drops!) into pieces and tossed them and the nuts with some of the flour set aside. Then though don't stick together. It was our alternative to very sweet fruit cakes!

I'm not a big fan myself, so I usaully use them to eat or if I have to use Shake or bake n pork chops or get two bowls to reach the hand. I put a fine bread crumbs, or you can use for cooking Shake n'. In other bowl I put hot sauce on me coat them with hot sauce, then cook bread crumbs or shake n. This spice, not only them, but until it's not as Porky. This also works great with chicken. If you do not get too much spice, not just cover them in a bowl of hot sauce . Mix a few beaten eggs in a bowl and add a tablespoon or two of hot sauce mixture and then.

The recipe says to use a loaf pan, but the picture looks like they cooked it in maybe a round soup can. Any idea how to make it look like the picture?
