No time for twice-baked? Get the same great flavor with refrigerated mashed potatoes. Then spread over a hearty ground beef filling.

I missed givng this 5 full spoons! I also think this would be good to bake 2, and freeze one without the cheese and toppings, for a busy day when you need something without the fuss!

Another basic recipe, that turned out great! I tweeked it up a little, for our tastes. To the meatloaf I added garlic, chopped green peppers, and a can of mushrooms chopped up, and some ketchup. Pressed it into an 8 x 8 and a little up the sides, then added the potatoes which were the Betty Crocker butter and herb instant potatoes. I added about a 1/4 cup of sour cream once the potatoes were cooked in the micro. I didn't find this dry at all. I also added the cheese the last 5 minutes. My picky 10 year old, who hates casseroles, ate a 1/4 of it!!! He loved it, as did everyone else! Will make again!

My boyfriend and I love cooking together and we had a lot of fun making this. We also made homemade garlic mashed potatoes and it was truly delicious!! Thanks for the recipe!

Sounds like a good idea, and looks pretty in the picture, but not great.

Tried this for my family, but it didn't go over great. I didn't mind it, but no one else liked it. Other than the tomatoes, there's really no moisture to this dish. Maybe better with ketchup or tomato sauce or something.

Delicious! I used real mashed potatoes because I couldn't find the refrigerated kind. Everyone liked it.

This dish is now one of my favorites! SUPER EASY!!! I had to substitute "sour cream and chive" mashed potatoes, as our store didn't have garlic. Also, didn't have sage, so I flavored the meat with Mrs. Dash. Topped with the tomatoes, onions, and "real bacon pieces" like you use with a salad. This dish was AWESOME, and the kids asked to have it again tomorrow!

This is a good, easy recipe. My husband loves it. I recommend baking the pie without the cheese until the last few minutes of baking. When I baked the cheese for the entire duration, it ended up crusty, rather than melty. Otherwise, I liked it.
