2
tablespoons vegetable oil
1
tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crumbled
1
garlic clove, finely chopped
1/2
cup dry red wine or grape juice
1
teaspoon sugar
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/4
teaspoon pepper
3
pounds pork country-style ribs, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 Heat oil in 1 1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Cook, rosemary and garlic in oil, stirring frequently, until garlic is golden; remove from heat. Stir in wine, sugar, salt and pepper.
  • 2 Place pork in shallow glass or plastic dish. Pour wine mixture over pork; turn to coat with marinade. Cover and refrigerate, turning pork occasionally, at least 4 hours but no longer than 24 hours.
  • 3 Place drip pan directly under grilling area, and arrange coals around firebox. Heat coals or gas grill for direct heat.
  • 4 Remove pork from marinade; reserve marinade. Cover and grill pork over drip pan and 4 to 5 inches from medium heat 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes, turning occasionally and brushing with marinade, until pork is tender and slightly pink when cut near bone. Discard any remaining marinade.

Expert Tips

Purchased coleslaw and cut-up veggies are great with these savory ribs.

If I wanted to make this in the oven or stove top, does anyone know how I would change the recipe? I live in an apartment and have no grill.

This recipe is absolutly amazing. It was extremely easy to fix and prepare. I can cook these amazing, tender, tasty ribs and my family eats them before I can set the table and begs for more. I never thought that I would get my five year old son Justen to touch a rib and he just loves these ribs. This recipe has brought back family dinners at my home. It''s a great recipe for the begginer cook and it will put smiles on any family''s face. Thanks for the great recipe.
