Grilled Peaches

Ingredients

  • 1 peach, halved, pitted
  • Extra-virgin olive oil
  • Honey

Steps

    Heat gas or charcoal grill. Lightly brush cut side of each peach half with oil.

    When grill is hot, cook peach halves over medium heat flesh side down on grill or grill pan 2 to 3 minutes or until peach halves are softened and grill marks appear. With tongs, carefully remove from grill.

    To serve, drizzle peach halves with desired amount of honey.

  • Recipe can be easily double or tripled.
  • Top with whipped cream and/or a dash of ground cardamom.
  • Serve grilled peaches warm with vanilla ice cream or sweetened whipped cream. For a savory twist, try Grilled Peach- and Mustard Glazed Pork Tenderloin.
  • Grilling peaches brings out a caramelly flavor, but for even more sweetness, try sprinkling peaches with a mixture of granulated sugar, cinnamon and ginger.
