Grilled Memphis-Style Sliders

The delicious taste of barbecue pulled pork in a slider. We spooned our favorite barbecue sauce over mini grilled ground beef patties and topped with deli-style cole slaw for some added tangy crunch.

Ingredients

1
lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1 1/2
tablespoons French onion soup mix (dry)
8
mini burger buns (about 2 1/2 inches in diameter), split
2
cups creamy coleslaw (from deli)
Barbecue sauce

Directions

  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In medium bowl, mix ground beef and dry soup mix. Shape into 8 equal patties.
  • 2 Place patties in grill basket; place on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 8 to 10 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160ºF.
  • 3 Place patties on bottom halves of buns. Top each immediately with 1/4 cup coleslaw and spoonful of barbecue sauce. Cover with top halves of buns.

Expert Tips

If you don’t have French onion soup mix on hand, dried minced onions will work as well.

Any kind of barbecue sauce works great, so experiment with your favorite flavors!
