lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
1/4
cup Progresso® Italian style bread crumbs
1/4
cup milk
1
teaspoon dried minced onion
1/2
teaspoon salt
1/8
teaspoon pepper
4
burger buns, split

Directions

  • 1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. Beat egg in large bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except buns; mix well. Shape mixture into 4 patties, 1/2 inch thick.
  • 2 Place patties on grill. Cover grill; cook over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, until meat thermometer inserted in center of patties reads 160°F.
  • 3 If desired, toast cut sides of buns during last minute of cooking time. Serve patties in toasted buns with desired condiments.

Delicious doesn't even begin to describe these burgers. Juicy, tender, and amazing flavor. I cooked a little longer because I like my burgers well done, but the extra time in no way compromised the tender juiciness of the patties. A new favorite, for sure.

I have never tried making patties with bread crumbs before and it sounded promising. This recipe is very simple to follow and the results were delicious. These burgers are indeed juicy. We made ours outside on the grill and man, they went fast. The only changes I made was substituted the onion for onion powder(I had no onion), and then I made the paddies 3/4 to 1 inch thick.
