Love this recipe, and so does everyone I make it for! A couple of things though. It says 8 oz of onion dip. It then says 1 cup. That is a misprint! 1 cup would be 16oz. and that is WAY too much. The burgers fall apart. Stick with the 8oz. Also, try substituting crushed French's French Fried Onion Rings for half of the bread crumbs, and topping your burgers with REALLY dark and caramelized sweet vadalia onions. Yummmm.....

Looks good however the onion soup mix and onion dip just made this a deadly burger loaded with MSG... Come one Betty Crocker lets remove MSP from your products...

I thought the recipe was a little bland so i tried the suggestion to use turkey instead and that worked like magic. Trick is, one shot of tequila instead of the beer, about 3 heaped teaspoons of Season-All spice and a teaspoon of mixed italian herbs and twice the stated amount of Worcester sauce. DIVINE!

This recipe is delicious. I didn''t have the dip on hand, so I used just sour cream and added a little onion powder and black pepper to it. The whole family raved about it - and now it''s a request at all our cook-outs!
