Well it has been a bit over 1year since I wrote about this receipe, stating that it did sound good, but I would try regular potatoes instead. Finally made this and yes, quite tasty, even with regular potatoes! As the other reviewer said fresh cubed potatoes were used. I did the same, but did not spray the foil first. I may try the other way also, it is even easier, but just not sure about using frozen potatoes? Anyways either way, I know for sure with the fresh potatoes it is quite good and will make again! =)

When we were out in Okla. visiting universities there, we got to visit Eskimo Joe's Restaurant . They had the most incredible cheese fries. My husband loves making these potatoes and adding canned chili on top of them..like Texas Pete or Hormel Chili without beans....just another way to make them even better.

I have made these for years my kids love them it is our favorie camping side dish. I change it a little I use butter not oil and I add bbq sauce to it, they are the best

Mmmm! Yummy! We grill our food a lot in the summer to avoid heating up the house, and this recipe was a great find. The whole family loved it!
