Ingredients

1/2: cup Thai sweet chili sauce

1/3: cup apricot preserves

36: fresh asparagus spears (about 2 lb), trimmed

1: tablespoon olive oil

1: teaspoon garlic-pepper blend

Directions

1 Heat gas or charcoal grill. In small bowl, mix chili sauce and preserves; set aside.
2 Place asparagus in grill basket (grill “wok”). Brush asparagus with oil; sprinkle with garlic-pepper blend.
3 Place grill basket on grill over high heat. Cover grill; cook 5 to 8 minutes, turning once with tongs, until tender and slightly charred.
4 Serve asparagus with dip.

You’ll want the asparagus spears to be about 1/4 inch in diameter for this recipe.

Asparagus can be served hot off the grill, or make ahead and serve at room temperature. Have plenty of paper napkins on hand, because they can be messy to eat!
