This is a great idea but my crowd wouldn't like the olives. I did the same thing but with grapes and small strawberries. It looked and tasted great. Once you have the styrofoam wrap it plastic wrap so you can use it again, just re-wrap it for the next time. I want to try doing it with small chocolates. YUM!

I made this for a party in 2003 and it got such rave reviews, (one fellow still talks about it anytime there's mention of a potluck), that I've made it several times since! I've made it for a party today.%0d%0aI use a topiary from Michaels craft store. It has a foam base in the bottom, already covered with moss and it's in a standard orange clay pottery pot. This keeps it stable

While this centerpiece was unique, I found it difficult to work with. No matter what I did, and I did it twice, I couldn't get it secure enough to not topple with the slightest touch. The olives were too oily for my taste and I had to rinse repeatedly to remove the olive oil taste and slime. I personally would not go to the trouble again.
