Frosty freezer desserts save the day as they can be made ahead. This one combines a favorite chocolate and minty flavor.

This was very good! I used cool whip instead of the whipping cream and didn't bother to refrigerate for 45 minutes before adding it and it was fine. I served with cool whip and andes mint baking chips as suggested and it was delicious!

I used 2 pre-made oreo cookie pie shells instead of making my own crust. The pie itself was rather too cream-cheesey for me. I def. added more alcohol too. It looks great but not the best tasting for me.

RE Karendancer: Famous Chocolate wafers from Nabisco is what we are referring to in this recipe. They can be difficult to locate in your grocery store. You can usually find them either in the cookie section or with the ice cream toppings. They come in a long narrow, yellow box and you are able to see the wafers through the top of the box. If you have trouble finding them ask you grocer and they should be able to assist you.

In response to Karendancer - I haven't seen chocolate cookie wafers in the store for many years. I sub chocolate graham crackers for the cookies.

What kind of cookie crumbs, and where do you find them? I have never found plain cookies or crumbs in chocolate. Last time I had to buy Oreos and remove the cream.

I made this as a last minute dessert I needed for a family weekend where more guests showed up. It was a complete hit. I'm making it again for a family party. It was so good, I can't wait to eat it again!

I made this the first time when my children and their family's came for a visit. It was a hit..they split the what was left of the cake and took it home. The second time I made it was for the St. Patricks Day luncheon at the senior center;)...Everyone loved it and asked for the recipe. Thanks for another successful treat.

I made these for a football party, cut them ahead of time and wrapped each one in plastic wrap. They were convenient to grab and received rave reviews!
