I believe it meant 4 dozen. I always refrigerate dough if it is too soft to form a proper scoop without being too sticky. I use a cookie scoop to form the uniform cookie ball then take a fancy (punch cup)glass with a cut glass bottom dipped into sugar than firmly flatten the cookie ball.

I believe its a misprint, I just made a recipe simular to this calling for 4 1/2 cups flour and it made 42 cookies. In regards to the other comment; according the the other similar recipe it said to chill for 2 hours.

4 and 1/2 cups flour and it only serves 4, how many cookies does it make, if they are the size of walnuts, I would think it would make a lot. Please respond, I would love to make these, but not if it only serves 4. They sound delicious.
