A wonderful easy brunch idea using gluten-free oatmeal, apples, almond milk and some stir-ins!
Granny Smith apples, peeled, thinly sliced
cups almond milk or cold water
pouches Gluten Free Chex™ apple cinnamon oatmeal (from 9.54-oz box) or 3 cups Gluten Free Chex™ oatmeal (from 16-oz bag)
cup packed brown sugar
tablespoons butter, cut in pieces
Raisins, if desired
Toasted pecans, if desired
In 3 1/2-quart slow cooker, place apples, almond milk, oatmeal, brown sugar, butter and salt; stir.
Cover; cook on Low heat setting 3 hours. Stir; add raisins and toasted pecans.
If using Gluten Free Chex™ oatmeal you might want to stir in extra brown sugar when serving.
