I made this cake to serve on Christmas morning and it was a great hit with all concerned. Nobody even thought it might be gluten-free. The taste and texture of the cake was just right-- a not too sweet coffee cake in the best tradition.
I just topped it with a little powdered sugar instead of the icing and nuts.
This is sure to become a year round favorite at our house!
