tablespoon hoisin sauce

teaspoon crushed or ground red pepper

pound beef steak or stew beef cut into bite-size pieces or 1/2 inch strips

tablespoon vegetable oil

bag frozen veggies (green beans, broccoli, peppers, etc)

teaspoon minced garlic

medium onion

cups white rice
  1. Cook rice as instructed on package.
  2. Mix in a small bowl: cornstarch, water, hoisin sauce, ginger, soy sauce, red pepper and sugar. Make sure cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside.
  3. Add vegetable oil and garlic to wok or frying pan and cook beef until done.
  4. Transfer meat to another bowl and stir fry vegetables and onion until tender.
  5. Add beef back into pan and add ginger sauce. Cook until sauce is slightly thick and serve over rice.
