Score all the delicious draws of German chocolate cake—coconut, rich pecan frosting, and, of course, chocolate—in nibble-friendly cookie form.

LOVED the cookies. German chocolate cake is the only chocolate cake I would eat so making these into bite size "cakes" was perfect for Christmas. Waiting till the store stocks back with more cake mix so I can use the rest of the frosting.

I don't even like coconut but I love these. My boyfriend (whole family crazy about German Chocolate) said they're the best cookies I ever made. YUM!

Tried these this christmas and won't add to list next christmas. Too soft, thumbprint went through to other side.

These cookies are good, but not as chocolately as we would like. I would make them with Devils Food or Chocolate Fudge cake mix, and then follow the rest of the recipe as written.
