box Betty Crocker German Chocolate Cake Mix

cup Butter
2/3
cup Evaporated Milk

package Chocolate Chips
1
pound Caramels
1
cup Chopped Nuts (Optional)
  1. Mix Cake Mix, Butter (softened) and 1/3 Cup Evaporated Milk. Press 1/2 of this into a greased 9 X 13 pan, bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Cool.
  2. Unwrap Carmels and Melt with 1/3 Cup Evaporated Milk (in microwave oven or use a double boiler) and cool for 5 minutes then pour over crust and sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
  3. Put remaining dough on top and bake 350* for 15 minutes more. Cool and cut into squares.
