EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

If your supermarket sells ground beef only by the pound, double all the ingredients and make four patties. Then tightly wrap and freeze two of the patties, and you’ll be steps ahead for another meal!

You can use ground turkey breast instead of the beef for a low-fat twist.

These were some great burgers. I cooked mine in a frying pan on the stove and also added a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce. My husband is not a big fan of onion so I added about 2 tbsp. of dried onion instead of what the recipe called for. They turned out wonderful and my husband really liked them.

There isn't a word for how good these taste! The only negative was that a 1/2 pound cooked up and split between two people makes a small burger...Next time I make these, I will double the recipe... Oh, and my husband was trying to prove a point about ingredients in a recipe and the amounts not having to be exact...So, he playfully threw in a bit more lemon juice. To my surprise it added a tangy and juicy twist without being overpowering.

Wow!! This was an excellent recipe and easy to make. I cooked the burgers in a grill pan rather than microwave. I also added about 1 t. of both Worcestershire sauce and Balsamic vinegar. Definately a keeper!!
