Garden Salad with Honey French Dressing

Ingredients

Honey French Dressing

  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon water

Salad

  • 6 cups bite-size pieces romaine or red leaf lettuce
  • 1/2 medium cucumber, peeled, chopped (2/3 cup)
  • 1 medium tomato, chopped (3/4 cup)
  • 1/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower nuts
  • 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (2 oz)

    In large bowl, mix all dressing ingredients until well blended.
  • 2
    Add romaine, cucumber, tomato and onion; toss to mix. Sprinkle with raisins, sunflower nuts and cheese. Serve with dressing.

  • Feta cheese—regular or herb-flavored—makes a fun stand-in for the blue cheese.
  • For a shortcut, serve this salad with Western dressing.
