Expert Tips

Yellow wax beans are a variety of green bean with milder flavor. Pale yellow in color, they are long and slender with an edible pod. When buying green or wax beans, look for those that are smooth, brightly colored, crisp and blemish-free.

Wax and green beans can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in a tightly sealed plastic bag.
