I made this without the brownies (lack of time being the reason) and without the toffee or coffee. I added a vanilla wafer crust and I sprinkled mini chocolate chips between the layers. It was very yummy, and a hit at work. I brought it in as a dessert for our thanksgiving meal. They all agreed that it tasted like boston cream pie. I loved it, and it's so much fun to make. I'm looking forward to trying it with my brownies. I will definitely recommend it, and the taste is devine.

This was my first time making a trifle and it was a huge success. I made a couple of small changes. I omitted the coffee and drizzled caramel sauce on top of the whipped topping layers. Made this for a large family get together and everyone loved it.

This recipe is delicious! It was a huge hit. The bowl was passed around the table a few times for extra servings. (Toffee not needed)

This is the first time that I've made this recipe and let me say, it's fabulous! I made a few changes such as omitting the coffee, added a dash of coconut extract to the pudding, used fat free ingredients wherever possible, and included a cream cheese and sugar mixture for extra decadence.

This was the first recipe I tried from this site. I made it for my husband when he came home on mid-tour leave from Iraq and one bite made his eyes pop! It is very rich and very good. I made one large bowl of it, omitting the coffee, but I think it would do better in smaller portions at a time! Highly reccomended!

Very yummy! I forgot to add the coffee to the brownie mix but it was still awesome. Also, I substituted applesauce for the oil in the brownies but still used eggs. Used sugar free pudding, low fat milk and fat free Cool Whip but still used the toffee bits.

This is one of those go-to desserts. It doesn't involve a lot of time or ingredients but it looks beautiful and tastes even better! Always a crowd-pleaser wherever I have brought it.

awesome, simply awesome! This is for chocolate lovers. I plan to try this using all sugar-free ingredients and using soy milk to make the pudding for my diabetic and low-card friends.

This is so easy and so delicious!! I did make a change though. Instead of using the toffee pieces, I used the mini hershey kisses. I also did not use the coffee grounds in the brownie mix.

When I saw the top ratings for this recipe, I had to try it and I was not diappointed! As a Lifetime Weight Watcher member, I "lightened" this recipe by using applesauce in place of the oil, egg substitute in place of the eggs in the brownie mix, sugar-free pudding mix and fat free whipped topping. It still tasted awesome! Of course, I used real toffee bits, but measured them carefully. This time I made is as individual servings in glass goblets, but plan on making the full-fledged version for my birthday in a couple of weeks!
