These are sooooooo easy and delicious. You need to try them. They are my favorite cookie right now. You can make a variety of flavors depending on your cake mix too. My sister is trying cherry chip cake mix. We'll see !

I ruin everything I bake as a general rule. But these turned out GREAT!! I was really scared when the dough was sticky, it did firm up a little in the fridge for 30min, but was still not suitable for rolling into balls. I dropped spoonfulls into a bowl of powdered sugar and spooned more over the glob and was then able to pick up the dough and shape it into a soft ball. Mine turned out a lot puffier than the picture, and they were soft, cakey, and chewy. Very yummy, and very impressive looking.

To Betty Crocker: this recipe used to be on the Super Moist cake mix with double chocolate swirl.(made with Hershey's dutch cocoa) Please bring this mix back because I can not find it anywhere. The fudge crinkle recipe did not require refrigeration, used 1/2 cup veg. oil instead of 1/3 and did not use vanilla. It was GREAT. I will try this new mix but I can't see how it can be better. Why would you change something that was so good? Thank you,

Just made these cookies; just added 1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans. Left the batter in the fridge for 30 minutes, like instructions said, before making the balls. Baked them 12 minutes in my oven. They are perfect and will be great around the holidays. So easy, yet so tasty. My entire family loves them...oldsters and youngsters. Thanks.

just finished 3 batches! One as directed, awesome. Second with regular chocolate cake bix, hard as a rock. Third added butter rather than oil, hard as a rock. If followed exactly as directed, no subs, its awesome!!

RE angelteddycupcake: Here are some ideas from the kitchen– (1) Maybe a dark or nonstick cookie sheet was used or maybe the oven is running hot which may cause the hard flat cookies. (2) Or if a substitute for oil was used such as margarine that could have caused the same poor results. (3) Or maybe the cookies were made on the smaller side which would cause them to be overbaked at 10 min.

I don't know what every one is talking about! These came out flat and they are not chewy at all but hard as brick.I baked them for exactly 10 mins at 350 degrees, so it couldnt be my fault! has any one else experienced this?

With or without the kisses these cookies are awesome! Easy to make and stay moist forever when properly stored. Rolled in the conf. sugar gives them a "snowy" effect, making winter holiday cookie platters a bit more festive!

I made these for Christmas. They were quick, and tasted like a brownie with a kiss. How awesome is that! They went like hotcakes.
