Add fresh fruits to your breakfast! Enjoy this bruschetta that’s ready in 15 minutes. Perfect if you love Italian cuisine.

Ingredients

cup finely chopped fresh pineapple
1/2
cup finely chopped fresh strawberries (6 large)
2
kiwifruit, peeled, finely chopped
1
tablespoon grated orange peel
3
to 4 tablespoons fresh orange juice
1
bakery fruit-and-nut loaf (16 oz), cut into 14 (1/2 inch thick) diagonal slices
7
teaspoons butter or margarine, softened
7
teaspoons cinnamon-sugar

Directions

  • 1 Set oven control to broil. In small bowl, mix pineapple, strawberries, kiwifruit, orange peel and orange juice.
  • 2 Spread each bread slice with 1 1/2 teaspoons butter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle each slice with 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon-sugar.
  • 3 Broil with tops 4 to 6 inches from heat 1 to 2 minutes (rotating pan halfway through cooking time, if needed). Top toasted bread evenly with fruit mixture.

Slice the bakery bread with an electric knife for best results.
