I made these using rice krispie treats and swedish fish that come in colors cut into thinner strips. It was not as sweet as the original recipe.

TIP! pull the roll-ups off the wrapper and re-center on the wrapper. Place in frig to cool for a few minutes. The chip mix is too hot and will melt the roll up. This is a very messy project. By leaving the roll up on the wrapper it makes it easier to roll the gummies in the recipe. VERY SWEET!

I just found this recipe. Although my daughter is only 4 months old right now, I can't wait until she's old enough to be able to handle eating sweets like this! This looks like fun to make and even sweeter to eat, but with a little tweaking, maybe I can find a happy median with the sweet part! Saving this one for later use! And thanks to everyone's suggestions so far!

I just tried to make these but I altered the recipe slightly. Instead of vanilla chips, I used the Reese's peanut butter chips. I used only strawberry fruit roll-ups. It was like a peanut butter and jelly roll! The fruit roll-ups were very sticky and difficult to work with, but I would stick them in the fridge for a minute (during any stage of the process) and that helped. The gummy worms are okay flavor wise, but the texture I found was too chewy for the rest of the ingredients. I'm going to try this again without the worms and with chocolate sauce drizzled on top.

I'm curious, if the vanilla chips and cereal are too sweet, has anyone tried to change it to rice-crispy treats? I mean they're similar but maybe it wouldn't be so sweet. Anyways, I have only just found this so I will have to test it myself! If someone tries it with rice-crispy treats, let me know how it tastes?

My six little ones loved these!!! But the fruit roll ups kept on getting sticky to the counter and plates so i put them in the freezer for a couple of mins. but watch out leave them in there too long and they will break when your trying to roll them.

I thought this recipe looked so cool but after making them, warning to mothers they are very sweet. It could have been the vanilla baking I used but either way even my sweet tooth said it had enough.

My kids and I had such a fun time making these! The are so cute. I found them a little too sweet but the kids loved them. Just remember to let the chocolate mixure cool before you put it on the roll-ups or they stick to whatever you set them on! Enjoy!!!
