I've made these for years. The original recipe called for the butter to be browned before making the frosting. This gives the cookies a much richer, nutty flavor.

I enjoyed the cookies minus the frosting. I found the frosting to make them too sweet. I increased the baking time and they are very moist! I will make them again but opt out for the frosting next time.
