Edit to previous review... my earlier problem was that the oil was not hot enough, and the temp went way down because I crowded the pan. I retried it, taking care to keep the oil temp up, and it was PERFECT. Follow this recipe to the letter and you cannot go wrong!

This was ridiculously good. The spice combination hits the mark exactly, and brining the chicken beforehand in buttermilk is an absolute must. It got a little soggy, but I think that's my fault, not the recipe's. I'm going to make this every week until I master it!
