I'm looking at this recipe for my Easter dinner. I need food companies to put less salt and NO MONSODIUM GLUTEMATE (MSG)in prepared and packaged foods.

Made this for my family and they raved about it. Everyone wanted the recipe. I had leftover ham and leftover potatoes and put them together in a casserole to heat up. Yum!

I agree with the comment on "too much sodium". I use a Salt Free Seasoning (like Mrs Dash Original)instead of ranch mix in recipes; but, the sodium (600mg per serving) starts with the Scalloped Potatoes box mix! Maybe we can remake this recipe using whole food ingredients. :)

UniqueNameForMe wrote the very statement I was going to make regarding SALT. Daily intake should be somewhere around 1500mg.....for too salty.

What could you use in place of the ranch dressing?

These potatoes were a hit at Christmas. My family loved them. Their only regret was I only bought enough to make one dish. I will make this again.

Way too salty for me - 1120 mg of sodium in a serving is too much. When will manufacturers start cutting the salt in prepackaged foods? 1120 mg is half of the daily recommendation - in one dish.

I made this receipe tonite along with the Italian Roast. A nice side dish. However I believe it is a tad too salty. I did not add any salt in preparing them or at the table. Must be the 2 powdered sauces. I am not sure I will prepare these again.
