This patriotic cake is so simple and so versatile! To make this cake easy to take, you can frost and decorate it right in the pan.

Yum, yum, yum! I don't know if it was the extra egg I mistakingly put in bowl and dug out but not only did everyone love the decor, they raved about how moist and good it was. I mixed 2 cake mixes together, used 1 1/2 for my cake. Made mini cupcakes with the remaining (and cooked in the micro). Put frosting on one and topped it with another mini. It tasted like Twinkies!! They were great!

I like to make a jello poke cake with the same strawberry & blueberry decorations. ALWAYS a big hit! I HAD to have it twice when I was pregnant with my daughter. She's 3 now and will be making her very first with her grandma in about 15 minutes =]

I have made this cake, except I poked holes in the cake and poured strawberry Jello over the cake. After refrigerating, I topped with Whipped Cream and the berries. So cool and refreshing. And so patriotic!

I plan to make this cake this weekend......but I will make it a little more calorie conscious! Whipped Cream(Free) for the frosting and use a one step Angelfood cake mix with a can of crushed pineapple in it,nothing else! This makes a 12 piece cake with only 2 points per serving! LOVE IT

I have made this cake, but used colored icing and candy stars instead of the fruit. It was an absolute hit, and I'd make it again if the occasion arose.

This looks delicious! I want to try it for July 4th. I have made the same cake over the years but I frosted it with whipped cream(the real stuff!), and have added almond extract and butter flavoring to the cake, to make it tast richer. It has always been a big hit at our house! But this year I`ll try something a little different, like this one!
