I followed the recipe exactly and got a below-average cookie. It comes out nice and chewy but 2 Tablespoons of chocolate chips is not enough. To be honest, I would have been happier using the brownie mix to make a pan of standard brownies. This is good if you have some Fiber One cereal you don't know what to do with, but I won't make them again.

These are pretty darn good! I was surprised. My first attempt at a "healthy" cookie. Very nice chocolate flavor. I followed another reviewers suggestion and used the espresso powder instead of cinnamon. I put the cereal in my blender so it was more like a flour. MUST use parchment- I never bake without it anyway. Dough was very heavy and sticky. I would use my kitchen aid mixer next time ( and there will be many next times) just to make sure it all gets blended in. I thought they were very quick and easy to make. Thank you for the recipe!

Just made these cookies tonight and they turned out great! I did crush up the cereal just a little bit and I used parchment paper, as was suggested, which worked really well. The dough did get stickier as it sat in the mixing bowl so I would refrigerate it while waiting for each sheet to bake. I definitely plan to make these again.

I am going to make these for our grade school teachers and need to know from you all who made modifications: how much egg beaters to use in place of 1 egg? And how much applesauce in place of the 1 tablespoon of oil?...I cant wait to try them!!!

Hello! I made these cookies and pretty much kept everyone's ideas in my mind. I used egg whites instead of regular eggs and then I used applesauce in place of the vegetable oil and they were delicious. I also, made sure to crush the cereal as there were some critiques of how it tasted too much like cereal if one did not do that. I made these for my boyfriend and he is the pickiest eater on the planet and he ate them and LOVED them!! SUGGESTION of mine: USE PARCHMENT PAPER!!! People complained that they could not get the cookies off the cookie sheets. I did not have this problem when I used the parchment paper. It can be expensive for what you get, but totally worth it :-)

so so hard to remove from the cookie sheet. Tried both lining it with wax paper and just greasing it with cooking oil. They were good, but not worth the effort cleaning up. Will try baking them in muffin cups instead.

I have lost 30 pounds and this recipe have helped me keep it off! I make them every week and keep them in the freezer or fridge. One time I was out of vanilla and used mint extract instead. So minty good! My kids love these too. I also use the applesause instead of oil. Sometimes I crush a few M&Ms to add to the mix.

I wish I would have read the comments first! I think these would be much better if the cereal was crunched up a little first- otherwise these are perfect for calorie-watchers who need that little bit of a chocolate fix. Delicious. I used egg beaters instead of an egg and next time I plan on trying to use applesauce instead of oil as well. 11 minutes was enough for the perfect balance of chewy and crunchy imo. ^_^ will definitely be making these again.

These are just fabulous. When I need some chocolate, these hit the spot. And low points (for us on Weight Watchers, I calculated at 1 point each when I make 42 cookies) I agree on crushing up the Fiber One cereal a bit. And I use espresso powder in place of the cinnamon (REALLY tasty). They are better fresher (as all cookies are), but since they are so good, stale cookies aren't really an issue!
