LOCATION

Directions

  • 1 Heat water for cooking fettuccine to boiling. Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain if necessary.
  • 2 Stir tomatoes, tomato sauce and olives into sausage. Reduce heat to low. Cover; cook 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, to blend flavors.
  • 3 Cook and drain fettuccine as directed on package. Serve sauce over fettuccine. Sprinkle with cheese.

EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Hot Italian sausage is a definite option here and would go especially well with the flavor of the olives, but if you live on the “mild” side, by all means, use the mild sweet version!

Loved this! I chopped up a green pepper and some onion and added it to the sausage along with some garlic when it was about half way cooked. I also used canned tomatoes and sauce with no salt added. I added a little salt and pepper of my own but it didn't really need any. I thought it had great flavor.

I love your recipes, but it's so difficult to copy them. I tried for 10 minutes just to copy the Fettuccine with Italian Sausage and Olive. I looks delicious and after I try it, I will post a comment.

Annkaye You can always get the canned tomatoes with no salt and add your own seasonings. Use tomato sauce with no salt. add as much salt as you think it needs from there. Hope it helps.
